BMJ Clinical Review: General Surgery


This volume deals with a series of important issues in general surgery including the modern management of incisional hernias, splenic trauma, anal fistula and faecal incontinence in adults. Issues in oncology covered includes ductal carcinoma of the breast, diagnosis and management of anal intraepithelial neoplasia and anal cancer, oesophageal cancer and the diagnosis and management of gastric cancer. Among other conditions discussed are acute pancreatitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn s disease, gallstones and bariatric surgery for obesity and metabolic conditions in adults.
